  • It can be done also in the under performrming Valais wien region but you have to stay away from Chasselas and Gamay (Dole)... Great to see that some wine makers are now moving to higher quality varietals such as Pinot. TN: Initially closed brooding nose that opened up after 1 h in the decanter. The wine shows the savage aroma profile of the Valais but without being overly rustic. More like a half way house between a Gevrey and a Cornas. On the palate the wine has good density, structure and freshness. Towards the end of the dinner everyone was surprised how complex it became. A very solid Swiss Pinot.

  • Medium darker ruby color with some purple. Explosive and perfumed notes of raspberries, sweet spices, dark cherries, pomegranate, graphite and some other darker mineral tones. It's medium+ bodied with medium+ acidity and medium tannin that is very silky. Very good length. An excellent Pinot Noir from this fascinating producer from Valais.
