This is deceptively big and oaky. The nose is rather busy with red currant and cherry Coke aromas under intense notes of conifer, cinnamon bark, and sassafras. Full bodied, resinous, and youthful in the mouth. It's brambly and peppery, with obvious tannin on the herb and spice finish. Maybe time will soften it. 85 for now.

Tasted one of three bottles the day I bought them. A very nice Sonoma/Napa cab for $17. Some might find it too sweet or syrupy, but I think there is decent balance and structure for the price and it should keep well for the next couple of years. Lots of fruit forward with mild tannin. Tasted with lamb and it was right on. An every day California cabernet from an excellent year that some will say costs twice the money.

Still my favorite wine under $20! So sad to see they're closing down :(

CBCC fall wine tasting event featuring 44 wines total.
This tasted like a CHEAP Cali. Cab. It was berries on the tongue with an acidic and "purpley" taste finish. Nothing to report other than AVOID !
