  • Domaine Perrot-Minot, Vougeot Vieilles Vignes 2010: Fresh red cherries balanced out with the fragrance of lush strawberries and raspberries. Faint notes of dry sandy earth permeates through the primary components. The entry is clean, with restrained fruits, followed by an intermezzo of racy acidity, bringing to mind tart red currants and sour cherries. A gentle vibrato of woody spice fades ever so slowly, giving a decent finish to the wine. Post 2005, it seems that Christophe Perrot-Minot has shifted his wine making style to a slightly lighter extraction which I love!

  • Transparent dark garnet-ruby. Intense balsamic-cedar notes initially mask the fruit, but with aeration macerated strawberry and orange filet appear. Abundant, very satiny tannins are precisely delineated with firm acidity. Very chiselled, very long.
