Nez herbacé, persil. Fruit discret groseille. En bouche continuité sur les arômes perçus. Tanins modérés et intégrés, mine de crayon. Persistance courte. Correct. Malheureusement je ne connais pas le prix payé.

Strong colour; redcurrants & cranberries, inviting bouquet. Tasty, bags of character, but with a certain rusticity; authentic. V. long, dynamic finish; drink now & next couple of years.

After a good airing, an unattractive grained goes away, and what remains is high acidity, cherry with some animal tones (sorry, not sure how else to say it: a subtle hint of cheese rind, like reblochon perhaps). This is gamay that is rather different from Beaujolais.

Opened 1 hour in advance. Restrained aromas of cassis and menthol. Flavors of red fruit with some Loire chalk. Full and somewhat sweet cherry/strawberry finish. Very nicely balanced, good structure and backbone, and lots of fun to boot.
The packaging is a little cheesy, name is a little hokey, but the wine is quite good.

Improved with air (better on second day). Need to taste again.
