Knowing this wine was due to be drinked for few months or even a year or so, decided to open it all by myself (originally wanted to have it with friends but with the pandemic and lockdowns that came with it missed the max year of 2020). Wine is still great, purchased it at the Florence Italy public market in 2016, it had a great robe and nose. Smooth, combination of rounded and strong wine to accompany Lamb or other red meat. We are talking here of a 2012 bottle, we are in 2021, I strongly suggest to drink it in the next weeks or months🍷

P: LM, poss Med, body; Almost swtish entry QUICKLY balanced by crisp acidity; Lingering, albeit somewhat faint finish; My main critique: may very well lack intensity.

N: Smoke, flowers, berries; Fragrant init, but fades somewhat?
P: MF, poss Med, body; More substantial than its color might indicate, quickly met by an astringent pucker which somewhat mitigates by the surprisingly LONG finish. NEEDS several yrs, but does it have the frt for that? A cellaring "gamble", but considering its finish?!? Init thinking it was the flight's SP Grenache, I (fortunately) changed my guess before submitting my "test". ;) [As of mid Apr '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $24, or $18 for 2 or more].
Addendum: Also tasted on 12/31/16, this TN being the > + of the 2.
