Opened at Mosu HK. Slow-oxed for a few hours before being served blind.
Nailed Gevrey 2014 - just didn't expect it to be a Grand Cru! Quite meaty on the nose with a combination of red and darker fruits which pointed me to Gevrey, but didn't quite have the structure or finish I would have looked for from a Grand Cru.
Not much experience with this producer so happy to try, but not sure I would chase it out. Will keep at this level for a while and probably loosen up a little more, but unsure of upside even as it evolves.

Structured and a bit shy at the moment, but layered and complex. Oak is still a bit noticeable, but starting to integrate. Lovely texture and density, but this is built for the long haul. Give this quite a few years before its ready.

Only about 20 years before its time. This thing is so tight. First glass wasnt even pleasant. Gotta be my fault though, mid aged grand cru from a traditional leaning vintage. Dark cherry, sauvage, forest floor and even a little cherry cola? Modern in styling at least at this point it seems that way. Grand cru in character though and I hope I keep the ruchottes for at least a decade more...

Dry, good on nose The wine looks amber colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like fig. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
