Blind Tasting - 5-10 years aged Pinot Nor (St Johns, Auckland): Sour cherry. High note acidity. Medium bodied, m- smooth tannins. Some spices and liquorice, very typical Marlborough PN, pure, simple, fresh, linear. Very good wine in its own way.Ap 5/5, Ar 12/15, Palate 17/20, Overall 4+3/10Total 91/100

Villa Maria with David Roper (Mandarin Oriental Hotel Guangzhou): Funky nose with leather, cherry and herbs - immediately identifiable as from New Zealand. Nice tannin, good spice. Cherry, earthy profile. very nice and in a good spot for drinking.
