  • Blommig. Mjuk smakrik och kryddig.

  • Ripe strawberries, almost port wine-esque after two years in the cellar (wardrobe). Cherries, hits of vanilla.

Very smooth after "tooth of the time" so to speak.

Most likely will not buy to age again.

  • Medium crimson in color with subtle cloudiness, this wine revealed cranberry, red Jolly Rancher cherry candy and Asian spices on the nose. The mouth feel is lighter bodied with more red fruits and hints of cinnamon. The finish is medium in length and well balanced with the red fruits, spices and acidity in good harmony. 13.0% abv.

Purchased for $32US, this is a well made, moderately complex, lighter style offering that is thoroughly enjoyable. I'd like it more if it were priced at $25US or less.

  • A lighter style pinot from throughout SBC: 72% Kick On, 12% Bien Nacido, 10% Puerta Del Mar, 6% Solomon Hills. Cherry, perfume, and grace.

  • An excellent mix of fresh fruit and spices – certainly not your average Cali fruit bomb Pinot! Bright red currant, raspberry, and pomegranate notes were countered with herbs, stone, and spices ranging from simple to exotic. There were refreshing hints of watermelon, but also richer hints of vanilla and spiced pear. Oak did play a small part, providing the vanilla as well as bready/toasty flavours. Moderate tannins and notable acidity provided a wine that was very drinkable and relatively light in body – a reasonable 13.0% alcohol helped with that as well. Being that this was their ‘entry level’ Pinot, I wasn’t expecting a wealth of complexity or length. However, this bottle certainly topped my expectations, providing a palate fairly deep in flavours with a feel that was somewhere in between big, bold, fruity Cali and elegant, restrained Burgundy. Certainly one I’d drink again!
