For AVA Pinot Noir, the closest you can get to Burgundy, IMO. This wine was subtle, balanced, and well structured, to give prominence to herbs and spice without overpowering on fruit. Moreover, the ABV is very approachable, unlike some PNs that reach into the high 14s. This is worth seeking out...and stashing for down the road.

Beautiful wine. Appealing translucence sets the stage for a pillowy soft texture, very inviting. Tiniest hint of oak, just enough to season things without calling attention. Certainly has a bit of the Anderson Valley earth to it, but I'm not getting much more darkness or depth - maybe means the '14 will be one for drinking sooner rather than laying down?
