Quite good inexpensive Madeira. Very nice acidity despite it being just TN. Perhaps around Verdelho sweetness level. Raisins and dates, not too much complexity, but quite decent.

Tasted at Caviste, UK, at their Old Port & Madeira Tasting. Hosted by Caviste owner Mark Bedford and presented by port and madeira expert Bartholomew Broadbent. This was the second of four madeiras tasted. Young looking, clear, light golden bronze in colour. Rich and full on the palate, with good length and great balance. A bargain for the price quoted.

Madeira Pilgrimage; 2/1/2016-2/4/2016 (Madeira): Lovely aromas of dried honey, almonds and caramel. Sweet and round on the palate but it maintains a salty freshness that is very attractive. Flavors of apricot jam mix with pecans, almonds, caramel and a bold sense of floral spice. Wow, this will be one to watch for decades to come. Made from Tinta Negra.

A lovely figgy/coffee nose. Rich, sweet concentrated flavor. It may not have the complexity of a great Madeira, but it's still very good.

Classic almost raisiny taste of a Madeira. A little seeter and more acidic than I have had before in this wine.
