Dark berries, plums, and some sweet, toasted oak on the nose, with a whiff of cinnamon. The palate shows a really nice balance of fruit and oak. Tannins are still on the firm side, but very approachable. Should last another 4+ years at least.

First sniff of fresh ripe dark berry and plum. ‘ Powerful and full throttle on the palate yet with a plush and balanced mouthfeel, offering layers of polished tannins and oak. The black and purple fruit flavors twist to a redder side on the bright, striking finish. Think earthy and smoky foods, smoked meats, spiced up curries or bold, rich stews for pairing ideas.’ Neighbors with Eisle. So good...plenty of years left in this one.

Decanted for 30 mins and vigorously swirled. Petite Sirah is my favorite varietal but this iteration is not. Generally enjoyed Kenefick wines since they are usually ripe and rich with good tannins. However this effort was edgy and light to mid bodied.

Big nose, lots of berry and a bit of mineral. A touch sharp but 3 hours of breathing helped. Would pair very well with a nice prime rib.
