Hit me on the head with a Pinot hammer! Had this wine over several days and was overly rich at times but overall was quite earthy with dried herbs and balanced. Should continue to improve for a couple more years.

RUSSK Brought to GC at Pablo's. It was the WOTN for everyone. Beat out the Kosta Browne. Very earthy and old-world, and lacking that new world Pinot arromatics that I am not that fond of. Med bodied. Wished i had more bottles.

Rated 89 pts. Tanzer's review is spot on. A meaty, gamey version of pinot. Good, rich but not terribly layered / complex. Would score higher if it had a longer, more complex finish.
Update: 2 days later. Saved half a bottle in the fridge. More traditional pinot character, though still on the full-bodied side. A bit more perfumed on both the nose and palate. More complex, longer finish than the first day.

Cesare's Group (Home - Minnesota): No dtl'd notes. Good, but something slightly amiss in terms of balance.
