An astounding still wine from Gruet, reminiscent of the deep earthiness of Corton and Santenay. Serious substance and depth, well structured and impeccably balanced. Many Burgundies at twice the price or more do not drink as well as this.

A less impressive showing this time, more subdued, perhaps even a touch muted. Oak may be beginning to dominate. Still, a solid and well made wine.
