{from a case bought on release, brought up from 55F cellar and opened}. Rich, oxidative, full, I actually emotively like this wine more now than in prior samples because of its integration. I think Juffer's note is really accurate and would serve this a bit colder and with Epoisses or Harbison cheese. Mature notes, big mid-palate, pretty long for a villages. I've not bought Pattes Loup since 2014 and unless tastes of more recent vintages show me a more minerally style will not buy more as it doesn't fit my personal style wishes, but it's clearly well made and this villages is still delivering at 9+ years.

Ripe, oxidative nose, over ripe pears, bordering on stinky sweet with caramel. Rich mouth. Long ripe finish with enough bitter lift and acidity to keep it lively. Definitely not a delicate Chablis, but interesting. Could easily stand up to pungent aromatic foods. Maybe even epoisses. P.S. With additional time in the glass the wine become more unbalanced to the point of eventually becoming unpleasant and it became clear that it was suffering from premox. Will keep my original score nevertheless.
