Light golden; medium-plus aromatics, brioche, lemon curd; palate is medium bodied, vibrant medium to medium-plus acidity, fine mousse, balanced medium alcohol, lemon, minerality; medium to medium-plus finish with good length and depth. Well made, refreshing, excellent balance, blanc de blanc character, but what this lacks is uniqueness that I look for in champagne to chase at a high price level. 89-90 2-3 hours later: Not much different than when I first opened it. A bit of citrus pith/bitterness on the palate now.

Beautiful nose of brioche, apple, lemon, starting to show some development. Refreshing mousse, tart lemon, apple, minerality, with huge length and balance. Served with Cabernet Dark Chocolate, great combo. Very attractive BdB.

The nose shows a similar flavor profile to the 08: ginger, toast, spicy and golden, minerals. . Palate shows decent grip, lemon, ginger, minerals. Enters with good grip and into middle but softens a lot towards the end palate and finish - lemon and ginger tones. At least two notches below the awesome 08. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20.
