  • Had some trouble finding info on this wine, but I believe it's a Qba sourced from the Bechtheimer Rosengarten vineyard that many of the Geil wines come from. This is a fresh one - fizzy sherbet and something between grass and neutrally green tree leaves on the nose. This is very clean from start the finish on the palate, with good acidity, much more mineral than fruit, so more zingy than juicy. Quite dry - with the acid as it is the 5g/l of residual sugar serves only to very slightly smooth the edge. Good, focused wine, perhaps lacking a little depth but serving a purpose. 12.7%, $25ish.
