(ZIND HUMBRECHT RIESLING GUEBERSCHWIHR) COLOR-amazing golden color; NOSE-interesting, pineapple dropped in gasoline & mustard; TASTE-quite dry, hint of sweetness on the finish, real complexity on mouth feel, papaya, edamame soy bean aspect (green beans found @ sushi joints), very tropical (pineapple, papaya, mango), a little pear on the finish; WS-93,GV-90

Surprising deep color of orange-ish gold, more characteristic of Sauternes gave pause; but nose had delightful smells of flowers, apricots, honey and crushed stone. Soft texture and moderate dryness would indicate it's in prime drinking window right now. A very balanced and delicious, mature riesling.

A delicious Alsace Riesling at its peak, I guess. Quite deep gold tinted yellow. Well developed nose of white flowers, a touch of spice and minerals. Medium+ bodied palate, with white fruit overlaid by floral and spicy aromatics, slightly sweet seeming (could be an illusion due to the aromatics) with minerals, fresh acidity and firm backbone. Very good.
