Big boy- holy cow! Tannins smoothing but massive. Served this as blind. No one guessed Petite Sirah. And no one guessed that it was 20 years year old. Inky purple, people guessed 5-10 yr old Western Spain, heavy oak exposure, or 5-10 yr old bordeaux varietal, etc. This can go another 10 years easy. Popping my second bottle in 2032. Thoroughly impressed.

Just spectacular with a 2 hour decant. Nose of blackberry and forest floor. Intense fruit flavor of blackberry and plum, with secondary notes of anise, tobacco, nutmeg, and black pepper. Nice acidity and firm tannin. Full bodied, very long finish.
There is significant sediment, certainly on the higher end of my experience. I recommend storing upright a day or two prior to decanting, and then be careful on the pour!

A really beautiful bold red that is hitting its prime. Strong - but not overwhelming - the fruit was perfectly balanced with the tannins at this point. Just a beautiful bottle of wine. Well done!

A smooth, balanced, full bodied powerhouse with no signs of fading. Big fruit and big, sweet tannins. Great stuff.

Really very nice and drinking well. Inky opaque. Full bodied. Rich dark fruit, not overpowering, tannins and alcohol gone. Great finish.
