  • Lunch at Meii Sushi with Davyd and T+C. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, NO PREMOX, with aromas of toasty creamy oak, citrus lemon curd, stony minerality, bits of lychee with more air. Developed.
On the palate, dry, rounded high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet citrus lemon curd, white peaches, creamy oak toast, honeyed nuts, stony minerality. Long finish.
Good quality. Oak quite emphasized, on the heavy side of things.
Has rounded out nicely since the last time I drank this 4 years ago. In a good place now. I would say drink up sooner to be safe.

  • Brunello Night (Extra Space): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of concentrated salty limestone minerality, woody oak, citrus lemon. Developing.
On the palate, dry, piercing high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of concentrated limestone, salty minerality, citrus lemon, slight toasty oak. Long finish.
Very good quality. Impressive minerality. Probably needs about 2-3 years' time for the acidity to tone down a little.
