From memory. More power than elegance but with a fair deal of complexity. Slightly high on the alcohol which would be mitigated by the right temperature and food pairing. A nice bottle!

I like most of Mark Ryan's wines (Dead Horse, Long Haul, etc.) however found this one to be somewhat syrupy and non-descript. Not terrible but not memorable either. Not a great value at $40, probably won't buy this one again.

73% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot After time in the decanter aromas of the ripe Walla Walla Valley fruit show upfront; Plum, blackberry and dark cherry. Scents are followed by vanilla, baking spice, cocoa and hints of tea and floral underpinnings. On the palate ripe, almost powdery tannins and moderate acidity are moderate. Flavors are rich and fruity showing chocolate covered cherries, ripe plum, fresh blackberry backed with supporting flavors of baking spice, black tea, cassis and dried flowers. Mid-palate density is moderate and slightly thin though the finish, but delicious nonetheless.

An excellent blend for the money. Can stand up to most foods even a spicy barbecue. I would drink it now as it seems in a good place.
