Tasted July 24, 2007. Opened and decanted an hour and half before serving in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of smoke, roasted meat, black currants, black berries and white pepper. Flavors of black berries, plums, cherries and a little cocoa. Light to medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium body. Drink now with a decant or hold.

Tuscany & Beyond! (Farpointe Cellar): This was a real winner. There was a lot of complexity in this one. The nose had a nice mixure of raspberry, and plum, plus hints of vanilla, chocolate, and a bit of pepper. The palate had lots of different tastes that just kept popping up through the long finish. The was raspberry, plum, vanilla, oak, and pepper. The tannins were also very firm.
