  clear, light intensity, purple-ruby, watery medium rim, tears med to form and fall, med viscosity clean, pungent candied violet, seems a little hot on the nose, some spice, some wood palate: sharp, acid is med+, some surprising tannin, finish is med+ and fairly persistant, body is medium +, pair this with venison, lamb, grilled salmon with a tomato based sauce, braised meats ... ... is now improving.
