  Remarkable field blend !! Drinking well !!
  Cork perfect after at least six years in the bottle. Consumed over two day, the fruit was still fresh and acid still firm; this balanced wine was velvety soft revealing depth, texture, and integrated complexity. Dark red color with no oxidation, and clarity excellent. Aromas of plums, white pepper, and vanilla. Silky flavors of blackberry, raspberry, glycerin, and leather with a soft medium to long finish. This age worthy wine has more years of life left. An excellent field blend of excellent 124 year old vines composed of 78% Zinfandel, 11% Alicante Bouschet, and 9% Petite Sirah; the remaining 2% includes Carignane, Trousseau, Sangiovese, Petit Bouschet, Negrette, Plavac Mali, Syrah, Tannat, Muscat Noir, Peloursin, Cinsaut, Béclan, and Grenache. Great fruit from Bill & Betsy Nachbaur and a great winemaking effort from Bill Nachbaur & Clay Mauritson.

  ZAP TRADE TASTING, nose of cherry, boysenberry, and allspice, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, rich fruit, mouth filling fruit, should improve slightly the next 3 years.

  PnP but benefitted from time in glass. Deep ruby. Floral and apricot nose. This wine has excellent balance bw the nearly full body, acid and tannin. Layers of flavors from blackberries to cocoa and some baking spice. Evolving llong finish. Drinking well now but has structure to last several years.

  Old vine Zin flavors with purple fruits, creosote, Luden’s cherry, and decent tannins. There is no noticeable alcohol.

  ZAP TRADE TASTING, nose of rich fruit, cherry, boysenberry, and allspice, same on the palate, medium body, showing well today, tasty, rich fruit, mouth filling fruit, easy to enjoy this Zinfandel today.
