Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Drank at tasting event. Medium bodied, totally modern. Unique among the pack. Has the richness of a milkshake, with some savory elements to attempt balance. Perhaps the most ice-creamy wine I've ever encountered, it's difficult to adequately describe the mouth-coating decadence here. Not residual sugar, and was surprised to see the low USD cost ($20 today) -- doesn't taste like any cheap wine fluffed with sweetness or additives I've tasted before.

May buy a bottle to dissect, but otherwise not sure when I would drink something like this in practice. Their 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Tradizione shares similar qualities, so it must be wine making? Higher temp fermentation with lots of oxygen?
