  • 30 years old but still very enjoyable. Tinted light red and brown. Aromas of apricot, candied orange, and walnut, reminiscent of a good Christmas fruit cake. Saved by a fresh and bright acidity that goes magnificently with a host of desserts that often have little acidity. Silk smooth texture. The swallow adds dried dates and a little maraschino cherry, and the finish is almost endless. And yes, as the picture shows, the half bottle cost only $9.
