Tasted blind. Notes pf peaches, crushed stone, melon. Really high acidity on the palate and really tight. Lots of stuffing here but needs at least 5 years.

Not much to add to my previous TN from only a few months ago. A brilliant Premier Cru Meursault from the best white Burgundy vintage since 2010. Meursault richness but there is some crunchy green apple acidity and chalky minerality, hinting at Puligny. No sign of premox, actually drinking quite “young”. I’d expect the Gouttes d’Or to uncoil - and improve - over the next 3-4 years.

Bright vibrant gold. Aromatic. After some flinty reduction, cinnamon and other baking spices, white flowers, lemons, peaches and poached pears. The palate a lovely balance between fully ripe fruit and precise, refreshing acidity. In a cooler Meursault spectrum. Perfectly open now but I’d expect it to drink well over the next 10+ years (if there is no premox, and there is no sign of it at present). Good weight, volume and power. Some green fruit with the riper orchard and exotic fruit. Decent length. A treat! 93+

On recommendation from sommelier at Mere Brazier. He was spot on! Meursault whose style focused on elegance and minerality. 2014 vintage added to that style with a balance of intense concentration. Delicious!!
