Bright red raspberry fruit; ripe, but not cooked. Tannins sharp at first, but 15 minutes in the air made a big difference. Overall, two words I've maybe never used together: restrained Zinfandel. So maybe not a poster child for the varietal, but we enjoyed it.

Strange burnt plastic bouquet and taste, but not corked that I could tell. The boquet and taste got worse on the second day, even though I had resealed the bottle. Threw half the bottle out.

Tannins a little too firm for the amount of fruit and the varietal
