Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Almost no sediment here, gave this a quick decant and it was ready to go in about 10 minutes. Dark red aromatics of Cherry Liqueur and some balsamic notes, and a touch of forest floor. Quite smooth & silky on the palate and it continued to evolve quickly and peaked in about the 30-45 minute mark. With more air the fruit started to fade and the tannins became slightly more pronounced and there is a more distinct old world funk in the background. This is probably at it's peak and I would not chance aging this much longer as i do not see much upside from here. Do not over decant. A pleasant bottle the merits a score in the low 90's
