Drinking far better than the ‘16. Acquired four bottles recently in a nonprofit auction. Represented to be cellared well. There was significant sediment, much of it on the cork, so I presume it has been laid down consistently for a number of years. Tannins and acid still present, will probably make it another year, possibly two. Dark fruit, raspberry and blueberry, with a bit of strawberry as it finishes. Starting to gain brown colors, but still quite clear. I get a little bit of good funkiness, the finish is medium and pleasant. If you still own it don’t wait, I can’t imagine it will get any better.

Hearty but smooth. Equally wonderful with beef stew the first night and bolognese the second night. Be sure to filter the sediment though.
Tobacco, oak, fresh soil, fruit stems… Imagine you made leather from strips of Douglas Fir bark, then soaked it in a stew of cherry stems and blackberry vines, then expressed that into a vat of soft table wine.
Loving this now, and it won’t get better with age at this point. Better than the 2016, and holds up more nicely on the second day.

A bolder, darker style, yet polished and balanced. Clearly above its price point, and a notch above it Superieur status. This 2015 is appealing now and can be kept a little while longer. Very velvety and quite intersting. Drinking well currently. Worth seeking out.

Riper and seemingly sweeter than the 2016 vintage. 14% ABV.
