Upon opening from cellar temperature: Immediate laden farmyard, earthy. Settles quickly to a tight mustyness and evolving menthol.
Between 10 to 20 minutes ; Dark nose, hint of brambles; wafts of gooseberry and crispy smoked streaky bacon. Light silage with an underlay of sweetness. Forward weak phenol with hint of smoky acridity, but not pungent. Light, earthy dryness on the palette; low viscosity; fresh and clean. Developing dusty cedar; fruits evolving.
90 minutes: Dry, soft, subtle mouthfeel. Earthy bucolic flavours with mild but distinct lavenda. Hints of violets evolving. Worked leather; cedar box.
120 minutes: leather and dry cedar, sultana, fractions of prunes and dates. Demerara tone of molasses. Stewed prune. More savoury, still.
End of bottle Dry acidity, Palpable earthiness and dairy farmyard, with chocolate. Satisfyingly savoury. Abruptly verered to a filigree of dry, low viscosity, acidic, vinigary, sweet and salt cedar of weak savoury dark berry nose, but also, evolving malted caramarised sweet mint (anyone of my terroir and vintage, would identify Murray Mint).
Best with braised beef cheeks, etc, vegetable laden stocks and stews; chicken or game; the more robust cheeses

Decanted 30 minutes. Some sediment now. Poured 1/2 glasses. Old World nose. Dark red color. Merlot dominant in taste. Medium body and a short finish. For $26 an amazing QPR. Great full pizza wine. Great quaffing wine for sure but not amazing.

Heavy nose with lots of black berries, some cherry and strawberry coming through. Some woody dusty pencil notes, a bit of a steely edge, a bit of barnyard, and a whiff of vanilla and licorice from the oak. This is too young - flavours are not integrated and the tannins are still very harsh, almost burning in the mouth. On day 3 it's somewhat more integrated but still very harsh. Best thing about it now is the aftertaste, with good length and very tasty fruit. Could be much better in 5 years or so, shame I don't have another bottle.
