The label says 2005, but the cork says "Envasado en origen 02-06-04," which would be June 2, 2004. Browned from age. Mellowed tannins. But the flavour is poor. Yuck. Avoid (60).

Fruity taste. Not a lot of oak on the palate. Full mouthfeel and decent length finish. Lacking in depth of flavour, but quite enjoyable as it has quite a bit of body.

still, clear, purple, med+ intensity clean, med+ intensity, grapey in a welch's fruit juice sort of way, blueberries, ripe concord grapes, no evidence of wood palate: dry, acid is med, tannin is soft and medium and from grape rather than wood, body is medium, alc is medium, lenth is short, flav intensity is med, flavs include blue fruit, some black fruit, lightly cooked ... too fruity, like grape juice, The "oak cask" on the label might be there to assure potential buyers there is oak somewhere here. Perhaps it's just too "well integrated" to notice. Or it could have been a very ripe year and they needed aggressive oak to cut down on the sugery and fruit sweetness.
