Well, you could certainly do worse than this for the sale price of $9.39 paid. Transparent ruby in color, maybe hinting towards violet a little. Aromas of dark red fruits (black cherry, plum), garrigue (fresh herbs, flowers, earth), licorice, dry leaves, and black tea. Quite nice aromatically actually. Medium body and finish, medium(+) acid, a light grip of structure, and flavors of dark red fruits, licorice, black tea, and spice. Might have to pick up some more for the lunch time CdR and family stop by scenarios. Food versatile as well—I had this with leftover bean and quinoa chili for lunch, which was pretty perfect, but it would also work with heartier veggie and beef stews, robust chicken dishes, and not too spicy Mexican fare like enchiladas in a red or mole sauce. Solid. (Screwcap & organically made.) 89+
