Nose of wet rocks and tart orange; generous acidity and crisp mouth feel. Minerals, albedo, and a hint of grass round this Gruner out. Excellent all around and damn tasty with the right cheese.

fantastic expression of a maturing gruner; weighty but with great brightness still. White peach along with petrol, great minerality and a savory salty mid-palate. Wish we had more.

This is a white that can almost stand a decant, as the nose didn't give up much until it had been open for about thirty minutes. Sea air and tropical fruit with a slight floral quality. Palate of mandarin orange/grapefruit with a slight pineapple litchi edge. Lovely texture, light viscosity, hint of petrol, perfect acid. One of the best Gruners I've had.

Another great showing for this unctuous wine with pear, green pea, honey and saline notes. It is so compelling because of its oily texture with the changing sweet and savory components, and its firm acidic finish.

My first time with this wine. A light golden color and a nose that was simultaneously floral and full of pepper. Almost a spicy gewurtz profile, is as close, but reallynot strong on the lychee notes. White fruits, nice midpalate weight along with great acid, more white pepper, and some saltiness. A beautifully clean and lingering finish. Crisp but with good palate weight. A lovely bottle of wine. 91 pts.
