Well, this doesn't appear to be improving with age. It's not unpleasant by any means. It's just that all of the dimensions of it from a few years ago are diminished: the fruit, oak, finish, complexity...summer of 2004 I would have ranked it a 93. With a little decanting, it was wonderful; summer of 2005, it had lost some and I'd put it at around a 90. At this point, my peak preference for Januik reds is around 12 months after release.
