a beautiful California wine and nothing like the oak choked mainstream. this needs a long decant, in fact, don't bother unless you can let it breathe for at least an hour in the decanter. Blueberries, black currant and herbs - needs food to really show its depth. The structure is ample and this will last, but it gets much more silky than most California cabs. Great wine if you have time, appreciate nuance and want to taste terroir from California

12.8%. Just had a tiny taste of this and it was very unhappy about having been opened, so we opened something else. 3/4 of the bottle left for day 2. Left a third of a glass out overnight covered, in the morning it had improved. Dark fruited, really nice Mediterranean herbs. But hard to get more at this stage. Kept retasting this day after day, but it never opened up completely.

Wow! I was surprised at how open this was and how silky compared with the memory of the 2013. Currants and berries with savory herbs and some earth. Worth drinking a bottle now to see how it fits with your cabernet preferences. It will age on its balance.

Bright and green with some red violet fruit to it. Tangy, needs time. Bill says really good focus and I think that is a good way to sum it up.
