  A very "different" wine and I am sure not the one that tastes everyone. It has quite some bitterness and flavors you would not always expect in a white wine.
  
  Grapefruit pith, Almonds, but also Lemon, and some herbal notes.

  Quite a pungent mix of almond and grapefruit. A bit like a Viognier. Not to the taste of one of us!

  I had the red "As Carborcas" from Telmo Rodriguez Galicia project and was blown away by the purity and quality, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately this wine didn't show the same quality. It's the third "official" vintage of this wine. A field blend of many different, indigenous white grape varieties. Fermented & aged in 600 Liter oak barrels and foudres.
  The nose was a bit closed in the beginning, only showing some weird banana flavor. After some time you get a bit of bitter almonds, white flowers but also a ripe, sweet component. The banana stayed the whole way through.
  On the palate you have also a certain kind of sweetness in the beginning and a very short, nearly burning (from the Alcohol, 13,5%) finish. At first I was a bit shocked. But the wine improved over time. The mineral component appeared and the acidity get more and more pronounced. The finish nevertheless was a bit short.
  A wine which left me a bit interrogative. I expected a more consequential example of the Terroir without the sweetness and ripe attitudes. If you want to enjoy a bottle now, cool it down gently and decant it. I think it will be better in 3-5 years.
