Fresh vibrant colour. Rounded full red and black fruit start which then tends to tar but almost slightly burnt and virtually jammy. Unsatifying flat to sour finish - volatile structure. Not terrible but not an overly good wine.

EK924 Cairo to Dubai: EK924 CAI -> DBX. Deep garnet, impressive nose displaying great complexity, dark cherries, blackcurrants, and even cocoa notes (sic). Dry, high acidity, fruit-drive with plum, blackberries, chocolate. High in tannins that are fully integrated and provide a firm structure and complexity, velvety texture. Medium-long finish, with a bit of glycerine texture. Very different from your 'classique'; Pomerol may be due to the hot vintage.

A clear and attracting bouquet of caramelized creme de cassis, jammy underbrush and hot sands. A gentle palate of fruit with traces of bell pepper, medium-bodied, pure and inviting, round and velvety, medium finish of blackcurrant leaves and hints of smokey oak. Sweet and very, very gentle. Nose better than the palate. Very easy drinking.

Medium purple. Vibrant nose with coffee, spice, cherry, minerals. Good structure and nice acidity. The palate shows coffee, spice, oak, and floral notes. The finish is elegant and certainly would complement lamb chops. Solid wine for under $25.

Very similar to notes on 1/10/10, but this bottle had a little better fruit definition. Last bottle of this.
