This was probably the best Clos Vougeot I've had to date; the nose is dark and earthy with damson plum and black raspberry, fresh plowed earth, and hints of spice and underbrush. The palate has a definite step up of concentration and depth to other wines from the Clos I've had without sacrificing any balance; it drinks incredibly well now and should age easily for 10-15 years. Really good.

Fine Vines Fall 2018 Portfolio Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Bright red fruit on nose and palate to start, getting darker/ blacker towards middle and finish. Very good+ length. Slightly backward right now, 91-92 point potential, 2025 forward.

SLDS August 2018: Cherry, redcurrant, bright cherry, spice and blueberry. Really bright fruit on the palate, while still having a sense of delicacy. Really great youthful showing, plenty of composure and class.

Totally agree with burg als comment. This doesnt taste like a clos vougeot. It is 70% of the la grand rue. Vosne spice, mineral and fruit. Slightly more rustic than la grande cru but it can fool many ppl as a vr in a blind tasting. 92
