Dill, green olive tapenade, okra, vanilla extract, plum and blackberry on the nose. Stewed plum and a good dose of oak and coconut on the palate. Complex aromas and gritty grip.

Dark, dark, dark. Currant, plum and black berries. A menthol or eucaliptus character is in the wine, butbiit melows as the wine opens up. Firm but silky tannins cover your mouth with a long lasting finish. As the wine progresses you find more oak nuances, hazenut, dark chocolate and caramel. Beautiful wine. Could have used a year or two more but awesome now.

Opened a bottle and tasted as tight as could be. Poured it back in to sit a day or two. Fabulous nose, but not yet ready to drink.
Day 2: still tight. I've been sipping and coaxing. It has a great floral nose, spicy taste, but the tanins are still sharp as a tack, with a dry middle but a long finish. This needs a good long sleep. Will revisit tomorrow.
Day 3: the wine finally quieted down and has developed a smooth core of fruit, with a dry powdery finish. This is still a baby beast and needs several years of sleep.
