Slo-oxed for 10 minutes, chilled. The color was a medium yellow-gold -- indicative of its age. Yet, this medium to plus bodied wine showed bright and lemony with some apple, light minerality and just a bit of oak (that intensified as the wine warmed). A nice showing but probably best to drink up this vintage.

I seem to remember liking the Helfer vyd bottling more than this when visiting the winery a few years ago. But now having had both of these recently, I enjoy this the most.
As elegant as 14.5% Chardonnay can get. More candied elements (cotton candy, butterscotch, peach brandy) but not monolithic.
If you only think Chardonnay should come from Chablis, you probably won't want this in your cellar but you'd probably not dump a glass of this.

Another nice showing. As before, full and candied.
