  • PnP. Showing really well, a very good food wine. Aromas of apple blossoms, honeysuckle, citrus, floral and minerals. Lots of flavor with pineapple, lemon, peach, floral and minerals. Good acidity with a medium finish.

  • Pop and pour at Salil's. Holding up but not as complex as it was a few years ago. Very tasty and good, but not special. A little passed its prime. Drink up.

  • Tasted at the winery. Previously tasted at the winery 5 and a half years ago and the wine has opened up well in that time. White apple and light, white peach notes on the nose. Between light and medium bodied with white apple upfront, moving to white peach and some yellow apple, even some yellow peach with tropical hints through the middle. There's good density through the mid-body and it's opened up considerably since my prior tasting. The fruit expression overall is now this wine's strength. There's (unsurprisingly) noticeably more structure on the backside than in the 2004 (tasted alongside), but it's a balanced mix of acidity and lightly tart whitefruit/citrus that support the fruit well. Overall, impressed with how positively this wine has evolved in general, the fruit expression it now shows and the acidity/structure it has maintained.

  • Modest gold color. Subtle petrol on the nose. Medium plus depth and nice balance between sweetness and tartness. Could use some more zip but my guess is that it is just past prime drinking age. Awesome QPR.

  • Lots of sweet pineapple fruit but also a lot of petroleum in the beginning. It showed a lovely fine and refreshing acidity and has a good overall balance.
It can easily be compared to the German Kabinett-style wines.
