Double decanted and hour before taking to a family dinner - the smell of black and blue berries was intoxicating. In the glass the wine is opaque black with more dark berries on the nose. The palate is somewhat simple - berries, some oak and some tannin and that was it. The acid was lacking, boardering on flabby. A nice drinker, but not work the $26 I paid.

"ABC" - Anything but Chardonnay/Cabernet (Farpointe Cellar): This petite sirah was not too bad, but not as big as I like. It had a fairly nice nose of sweet raspberry and blueberry. It also had a tiny bit of chocolate, spice, and vanilla. The palate was a little better than the nose. Some raspberry and plum, mixed with graphite, spice, and oak. The finish was pretty good.
