One of the best Pinots I've had all year! Ruby with maybe a hint of bricking around the edge. Lots of complex cherry, raspberry, spice and lavender aromas. Medium-to-full-bodied with rich but elegant fruit, a hint of leather, and excellent acidity give this wine a superb balance - especially with food (grilled salmon, in this case). Polished finished with no signs of being tired. In a perfect drinking window!!

This has continued to improve over the years. Especially good now. Not anywhere near the end of its drinking window. Much more likable than many comparably priced Burgundies: significantly more fruit and better balance with acid.

Clean violet in the glass. Nose of plum and prune. Palate leans toward tart red fruit, with a long, somewhat bitter finish, and a nice minerality that gives it something of a sense of place. A little hot and blunt for a 13.6, but a very good food wine. Paired really well with steak and roasted potatoes.

Four bottles so far, all have been consistently very nice. They have been improving the last few years. Very tasty combination of intense ripe fruit, just enough sweetness to accentuate the fruit, and moderate acid. No rough edges, in contrast to many pinots from both the New World and Burgundy. Well balanced and very enjoyable.

Still wonderful — if anything, better than last year. An especially good pinot from the Santa Cruz mountains. Perfectly balanced. A real treat.
