  • A perfect wine!
    High fill.
    Cork almost impossible to extract.
    Vibrant medium red.
Perfect nose of polished red fruits, violets, spice, confection, a hint of old leather.
The palate literally singing, youthful redfruitedness frames a vibrant mineralite that dances on the tongue! So complex and long. Ecstatic!
My last bottle a year or so ago was predominantly a tertiary agricultural experience. Quite literally almost the most pristine aged Burg I’ve ever tasted. Delicious!

  • Tight cork. 4 hours slow ox.
Dark ruby with a hint of amber at the edges.
A brooding nose which matches the palate, intense coniferous forest, rubber, liquorice root, old leather, horse sweat, truffle, confection. Very persistent humus/manure finish. Intensity but paradoxically very elegant in spite of being primarily an agricultural experience. No hint of any sort of berry or fruit. Completely resolved structurally. No sign of tiring with hours open. Could go a long time yet. Unique and absolutely delicious.
