Well balanced, not overly fruited. Nose of forest floor, wet stones. Body is simple with med/long finish that includes tart red fruit and black pepper. Nice wine. Had with salmon.

Clear buttery and vanilla oak plus clovey spice on the nose. The palate is more impressive with the oak better integrated, warm clove and ginger spice again, oregano and mint. Finishes buttery. Dry, M- acid, very soft tannins, light mouthfeel. Not overripe or really very fruity at all. There’s a silkiness to the mouthfeel and subtle balance in flavor that suggests a higher end wine but a little weak/watery too. I like this okay, good pairing with borani banjan and Bolani Kadoo, but no way I’d pay $90 for it, I’d rather have a solid entry level Burgundy for a third that price. But as it happens I paid $10 as part of a clearance mystery box so I can hardly complain. ~6.5/10

Dark cherry and raspberry, with soft, sleek tannins, and a coastal salinity so characteristic of Flowers wines. Juicy, structured, an enjoyable bottle drinking well.

Great flavors of strawberry and cherry cola with earthy-minerals worked in. Fine balance too. Drink now or soon.
