Getting there. When first opened this was very lean with high acidity. Stoney. With air and as it warmed up it did open and became nicely toasty and more balanced. Touch of crème brûlée too. Acidity stayed high but wasn’t a problem. Try again in 2023. 3.5+

This feels a little too fresh for me at the moment. Aggressive green apple with a vibrant quality that occasionally feels sharp. Cleansing and brisk, if the mousse were a bit finer I'd probably be sloshing it down with shellfish.

Lovely nose - more ‘classic’, golden and honeyed but has extra freshness. Good definition; again very intense and bracing acidity. Aggressively eye-watering. For me, the acidity renders these wines unpalatable without food.

Overall feel is very lean and chalky. Just about in balance thanks to underlying honey and toast flavours. Impressive concentration and length. 3.5+
