A surprising wine. Ruby-garnet, no brown edges, but more translucent than I anticipated. The nose is pronounced, of classic Cayuse roasted meats, dark cherries and plums, with complexity. It's medium bodied, round and elegant, with no tannin or bitterness. It's not as concentrated as several single vineyards, especially Armada. It's beautifully balanced and elegant, fully mature, and will still be at its peak for several more years. Ric

U3. Dinner at Stateside with Scott, Gavin, etc. Smooth and nicely balanced. Not Bionic Frog. However, completely outclassed some Law bottle we drank with it.

Most enjoyable. Horse leather, barn funk, white pepper, faded blackberry fruit, wet rocks. My wife said “nope” after 1 sip, so I killed the mag over 3 days. Given my current stash level, age, health, and wife’s lack of appreciation of Cayuse, I’m going to let this 10+ year winery allocation go.
