On day one this wine takes a few hours to open. Herbal upfront, lean fruits on the back end. A little shy and reticent tonight.
Over a few days the wine stretches itself out a little but remains in a fairly closed phase. (Not good days on the biodynamic calendar, for what it is worth) That said, I’d guess this wine still has better days ahead. It seems as if it is on the slow side developmental arc and the wine has more to show if given the time. The structure is there and there is hints of some underlying complexity, but as with 3 years ago it is still not really hitting its stride yet. Hold for at least 2-3 years before checking back in.

Beautifully pure Gamay nose of maraschino cherry and black tea. Light to medium-bodied, with bracing acidity and a slightly tannic finish. No discernible oak. The palate for now falls a bit short of the high expectations set up by the exquisite nose, but this might well change with a bit more time. Promising.

Great nose of cherries. On the palate lots of bold cherry with a med+ finish. Get the acid on the finish. Very impressed.

Should have read my last note - Composed and yet too reserved, definitely wait until at least 2021...

Fresh, pleasantly tart red fruit and rhubarb, dill. Firm acidity and some powdery remnants of tannin on the finish. Nice.
