Dinner at Ember with Brian and Rosemany Talley and friends (Arroyo Grande, CA): Dinner with Brian and Rosemary Talley and friends at Ember. Very tannic vintage according to Brian. Very dry and tannic on the mouth. Not a lot of air given to the wines, assume this would have settled down with more air. Brad - heavypourwine.com

Medium-dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward and aromatic nose of ripe cherries, raspberries & strawberries with overtones of floral notes of roses & spices notes of cloves, earthy/dusty, tea, cherry-cola, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, rich, lush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, raspberries & plums with cola, spices, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Drinks quite well at present but needed airing to fully develop. It should develop even further with a few more years of additional aging.

PnP. Medium red. Moderate nose of raspberry and cherry. Good acidity on the palate balanced with high toned flowers and fruit. Nice finish with persistence. Not as big as this wine often is but still quite nice.

Big, bright, red fruited wine with some remains crunchy tannins. Might give the next one 2-3 more years.

First bottle. Saturated and shows an abundance of promise. Nice nose, woody fruity length, undefined but very full mouth.
Could use however many years it can be given.
2026?
