  Nose is a deep dark dried cherries and a little leathery. Big intense fruits, a hint of cocoa and smoke. Finishes with a hint of pepper, slightly dry. Paired wonderfully with a steak risotto. Very comfortable giving this an A.

  This opaque crimson wine offers a nice mix of dark bramble fruits, bittersweet chocolate, exotic spices, smoke and orange zest. Full-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 14.8%), it wraps its flavors with plentiful sweet tannins and nicely woven oak. Solid in the middle and medium-to-long on the back end, this is a well-crafted Cabernet that will benefit from a bit more time in the cellar. Drink 2020-2033.

  Woah. I was not expecting this purple and black fruited profile given the previous 2012 vintage characteristics. Where that was restrained and on the red, cherry, pomegranate spectrum, this is all sappy blueberry and blackberry. Heavy on the quality oak here at the moment. Lovely nose despite this fact. Tannins are medium and it is full bodied.
